Welcome to Promise Homes!

Promise Homes was founded in 1994 by a group of advocates from the North Alabama United Methodist Special Camps.  Promise Homes serves the entire community, providing quality family-style housing for adults with developmental disabilities.

The purpose of Promise Homes is to provide not just a place to live, but a real family where intellectually disabled adults can live as independently as possible with pride and dignity.  Promise Homes currently operates nine homes, six in Decatur, three in Gadsden, as well as a community day training facility in Decatur.  Plans are underway for a new home near Bluff Park United Methodist Church in Birmingham.

Promise Homes depends upon charitable donations from its ministry partners for many of its residents' needs.  To learn more, click on Share.
